At Golding Skip Hire we provide waste management and waste collection services for soil collection and recycling.

All types of soil can be collected from your site using one of our skips or roll on roll off containers. Segregating the soil from other waste will have beneficial costs though we do accept soil mixed in with general waste.

When soil arrives at our state of the art recycling centre, other waste is removed from it by our dedicated team of recycling staff. The soil is then screened and stockpiled ready for further recycling treatment.

    Cardboard

Cardboard waste along with paper makes up one fifth of all typical household dustbins and consists mainly of newspapers, magazines, mail and cardboard. These materials are perfect for cardboard recycling and we endeavor to divert them from landfill.

Golding Skip Hire offers a dedicated cardboard recycling collection service where we are able offer various size wheelie bins at the customer’s premises and collect materials as part of a scheduled cardboard recycling collection round. For larger volumes of cardboard recycling, we are able to provide a range of skips including our large roll-on roll-off containers. In addition we are also able to collect baled cardboard direct from the customer’s premises and take this direct to a cardboard recycling mill.

In most cases we will pick up waste locally using a container from our range of our skips (including our popular builders skips), or roll on roll off skips, both of which we can supply for you. We can collect your waste on an ongoing schedule that suits you, or make one-off visits when unexpected waste needs to be cleared. Here at Golding Skip Hire we know our customers share our commitment to avoid sending waste unnecessarily to landfill and recycle as much as possible. The metal is sorted into ferrous and non-ferrous metals by our experienced recycling team before being sent for melting down.

You can choose how you handle the storage of metal on your sites, however the more segregation you do is likely to reduce your removal costs. We offer free advice and will provide you with options and help so you can create a system that makes sense from a time and cost point of view.

    Film

Plastic film is a thin packaging used as a bag or a wrap - examples include supermarket bags, dustbin bags, drycleaner bags and plastic wrap (shrink Wrapping). All of these materials are apart of your everyday life, plastic film provides 6% of all packaging and 33% of flexible packaging which includes plastic film, paper bags, and cellophane and more than half of flexible packaging is plastic, with this in mind it is imperative as much is recycled as possible members of our recycling team separate all clear plastic and packaging from every other waste, it is then baled and sent for recycling.

Similar to the cardboard recycling Golding Skip Hire offers a dedicated plastic & Clear film recycling collection service where we are able offer various size wheelie bins at the customer’s premises and collect materials as part of a scheduled recycling collection round. For larger volumes of clear film and plastic, we are able to provide a range of skips including our large roll-on roll-off containers. Wood is a material that rarely needs to be sent to landfill any more. By choosing to dispose of your waste with us, your wood will not be sent to a landfill site unnecessarily, instead it will be recycled. Part of our service and commitment to recycling means that we collect waste wood which is later used in chipboard which is a highly versatile and useful building material.

We are accredited waste wood processors with capacity for large quantities, we can recycle most types of used wood products. Wood off-cuts, pallets, sleepers, telegraph poles, all types of demolition timber, window frames and much more can all be given a new lease of life.

Part of our service and commitment to recycling means that we collect waste wood to be used later for chipboard and is sorted and categorised to make sure the wood is recycled efficiently.

    Glass

Should your waste contain a significant volume of glass, our glass recycling service will not only avoid waste to landfill and the corresponding landfill tax but will help better control your waste management costs, not forgetting reducing your carbon foot print.

Golding Skip Hire accept glass bottles and jars from pubs, clubs, restaurants and large scale catering facilities such as school and work canteens. We offer a dedicated scheduled glass collection round and can supply wheelie bins at the customer’s premises. One off collections can also be accommodated using one of our containers that consist of small to medium skips to large roll on roll off containers.

All of these materials need to be free from fixtures and fittings. In addition glass waste needing recycling can be delivered to our recycling facility at Burton on Trent.

    Plastic

It is no surprise that plastics can be recycled, however, plastics recycling has traditionally been difficult due to the wide variety of different types of plastics in use. There are approximately 50 different classes of plastic each containing a wide variety of types, sorting and processing for recycling is a complex task. Consequently, not all areas have the required facilities that Golding Skip Hire have to offer recycling of all plastics.

In most cases we will pick up waste locally using a container from our range of our skips, roll on roll off skips, or wheelie bins. We can collect your waste on an ongoing schedule that suits you, or make one-off visits when unexpected waste needs to be cleared

Golding Skip Hire are able to separate recyclable plastics from waste packaging and other materials at our Recycling Centre and produce quality high density bales of recycled plastic. However, if you are able to segregate your plastics from your other waste prior to us receiving it, there are further cost savings.

    Garden Waste

Green waste is biodegradable waste that can be composed of garden or park waste, such as grass or flower cuttings and hedge trimmings. There are many kinds of organic waste that can have their life extended by turning them into compost or soil improver. Golding Skip Hire can make this happen, from advising you on your waste material suitability, through collection to the recycling itself.

Large scale composting is now a fast developing and attractive alternative to landfill or burning. For garden waste, agricultural waste and municipal waste, this is a natural process that makes sense on many levels. We can provide various types of skips and wheelie bins for you to dispose of your waste and provide a collection schedule to suit your needs.

Letting us arrange for your green waste to go for composting is likely to make financial sense compared to other alternatives, helping you meet environmental legislation targets and, of course, giving you tangible evidence of your green credentials.

    Plaster

In previous years plasterboard was one of the many waste materials destined for landfill once it had outlived its original purpose. This is no longer the case, with plasterboard now designated a hazardous waste.

Golding Skip Hire can collect or receive used plasterboard in most quantities, carry out initial processing, store it safely and then send it to a specialist plasterboard recycling centre.

We can offer various containers for collection, skips, roll on roll off containers and wheeled bins. We offer free advise on the most suitable method for you and provide the necessary collection equipment where required. Choosing Golding Skip Hire to dispose of your waste means that you can meet your legal and moral duty to safely dispose of plasterboard and feed it into recycling rather than landfill.
